Fahu Tahi

Fahu Tahi
  • State of Utah HS career rushing leader
  • 4 Year NFL starter
  • FB for 4 consecutive Adrian Peterson 1000+ yard seasons
Naufahu ‘Fahu’ Tahi was born in California, and relocated to West Valley City in Utah for his adolescent years. At Granger High School, he was named player of the year for the state of Utah as a senior by USA Today. In his high school career, he rushed for 5,700 yards and set a state record as the all-time leader in this category, and rushing touchdowns.

As a true freshman at BYU, he led the team in rushing. However laying bone crushing blocks would be the way Fahu would make his way onto the NFL grid iron.

Signed as an undrafted free agent by the Cincinnati Bengals in 2006, he worked his way up from the practice squad to be signed to the Minnesota Vikings active roster later that year. By 2008, he was listed atop the depth chart at fullback. That year, he led the way for the talented Adrian Peterson en route to what was then his best season as a pro, gaining 1,760 yards on the ground. He remained the Vikings starting fullback for the next two seasons before signing with the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012. Currently retired, he is the running backs coach for his alma mater at Granger High.
